try the ernie ball music man forums... lots of info and guys who know a lot. The Head of the company also post quite a bit there too.

that's a great piece of history! leo fender had to abide by a ten-year (i think) "no compete" rule after he sold fender to CBS in the mid-60s. after the ten years were up he started making the music man stuff
It is really a waste that this guitar is not being played. Sort of like a ferrari that stays in a garage and never gets driven! Strongly urge you to sell it to a musicianwho will use it it is probably worth quite a bit.
