It's made out of wood; purchased it today. It's different that's for sure... Everyone thinks its ugly, but I think it's pretty cool. That is what I like about it, it's different for sure... My husband said I have to leave it in the attic or basement. He does not know yet, but I am going to put it in our front porch........LOL........
