Listed by Western Electric as the New Eng Tel & Tel No 2 single faced flat enameled sign. Measuring 11"x11" with a brass grommet in each corner and exhibiting the 1921 Bell System seal, this sign was not used extensively in New England. Its close cousin, the No 3 sign measuring 11"x11" with a flange and double sided was also rarely used by New Eng Tel & Tel.
