Found this years ago at an antique shop along with a pair of old scissors I recently learned are from the early 18th century. It looks Viking-ish to me. I haven't been able to find ANY swords with a face carved into the side of the hilt. Don't know if it's an evil bird or human face, that's what got my interest started in this. The handle is missing and only has the stump were it should be. It's 19 1/4" from tip to bottom of hilt, 1 1/2" wide, 2 1/2" stump and has a bit of weight to it. Any info on this sword would be very appreciated, I'd love to know how old & where it's from.
