I don't fish...but I do appreciate old nostalgic photos, etc. These are two of my favorite old photos that I have come across over the years. No matter how old or young the fellows are all "PROUD" of their fish!!!!

My family is from Hannibal, MO and my dad and his best friend grew up fishing on the Mississippi River. I have a photo of him and his best friend, whose given name is my middle name, holding a catfish so large that they each have one hand in a gill and are holding its head above their shoulders with their elbows braced against their sides and the tail is curled about a yard on the ground. Big catfish. They had a cookout for both families and their neighbors in Oakwood, MO with that one fish. Next time I come across it, I will post it. I really should get it enlarged and framed... Probably have the negative for it somewhere in the huge pile of family negatives...
