This large gold coin series was minted starting in 1908 and ended in 1933. A 1933 example sold for over 8 million dollars 6 years ago. In 1908 the first ones were struck without the motto "IN God We Trust". This lettering is located below the eagle on the reverse around the top of the sun and below its rays. About an ounce of pure gold in each one of these. (90% gold & 10% copper)
