This is a '50's Raleigh 3 speed, "All Steel", Brooks B66 saddle, the only numbers that I found on the frame are 33527 with and AX under it. I found this on the frame, under the saddle, next to the seat post area. It has the all medal brake levers, no cables. The rear hub says AW, 50 and there is a 6 also on there, and it says 3 speed. I'm not sure what else to tell you. I would like to know exactly what style and year it is, what type of value it has, and anything else that you can tell me. Oh, and it is in great shape, but I want to clean it up, what type of tools and cleaners should I use as to not scratch, discolor, etc..?
This bike was given to me after my wife's dad die about ten years ago. He bought it new in the '50's, not sure exactly when, but we have old film footage of him riding it all the time.
Any information you can give me would be appreciated. Gratefully.
