I bought one of these at a swop meet but mine has a perl jewel in the middle instead of a black one why is that and is it worth any thing
Bergere is a vintage designer. As far as worth its hard to say if you had matching earrings or necklace it would be more but as is I would say you could pick this up retail around $12-$15. Auction(Ebay) around the same price. At the moment collectors want rhinestones and modern designed pieces. This style will come back around so I would hold onto it:)
I worked as a sample maker for a jewelry concern in the 90's and they had bought all of the Bergere models so I guess some are newer than others. We used to cast the models. Perhaps if yours is not cast it is older? I'm not sure.
