Hey, just picked this for $20. I know it's cool but I have no idea what make it is. I have seen a lot of old bikes but never one with straight bar going all the way through the frame to make a rack in the back. the only thing on this bike is the serial #. it's NO71427 & it is on the rear dropout. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I believe that it is a Columbia newsboy bike. It would of had Heavy duty rims.

Thanks, something new/old all the time. love it. 1953 schwinn in the same pick. sweet. No tanks though, bummer. Next time.

On Rat Rod Bikes there is one like this that they say is a 63 newsboy special.
