My parents went on a cruise through the south carribean islands this past week. Knowing that I collect coins, they brought me back these coins. They are from the Dutch Antilles, which just recently dissolved itself as a united group. Curaçao and Sint Maarten are the only islands of the former Dutch Antilles that continued to use this currency past the end of 2010. The smallest one is the 5 cent coin, or the stuiver, the next is the 10 cent coin, or the dubbeltje (little double), then the kwartje (little quarter), then the 1 Guilder.
