We lives in a three story tent made out of brick. We suffered from the elements of a frosty Southern California Night. Well one of my company did. He went out for a cold one on Christmas eve and came back with 6 pack. Rather than share with 80 other guys he deciede to drink it all himself. (He likely had a 6 pack on the way back to the base as well. He was not caught UA. He was not caught going in or out. He was not caught in town in a working uniform. He was caught in the company, drunk. It got him two more weeks of boot. In the end he got set back another two weeks and finally after 3 months in boot, he was kicked out of the Navy.
I am sure the tents in these are temporary measures while they "geared up" for war.
