This is prt of a chain that was broken and knotted in old costume jewellery, I am wondering if this would be 18k gold filled. I guess it's vintage

One would expect ‚‚GF‚‚ but ‚‚F‚‚ can also stand for ‚‚filled‚‚.
Rather deceptively marked. For proper testing deep filing to the base metal is needed and drop of acid directly applied under jeweler`s loupe. Rubbing on stone can give false positive reaction due to remnants of gold dust.
