Van Berkel's Original Improved US Slicing Machine
    July 2, 1912
    La Porte, Indiana
    N 81955
*I have consulted with Berkel reps and it is hard to id the machine by the model number as it cannot be found in records. They think it is one of the very first made in the US. It is in Excellent working order, and appears complete. Highly collectible pattern on wheel. Needs to be cleaned, but desirable for refinishing. I could not find another wheel with: "Berkels Improved Patent" on it. It's pre-1920, but could you determine age or model by these photos? Is it a 60 or 80? It has been in the same family for almost 100 years. I know that value is relative to what someone would pay, but ideas of worthpoint? Can send more photos. With much appreciation, Jill
