Have had this beautiful camera in my collection for some time now. I am unsure of the maker as it does not appear anywhere on the camera. Any help that anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated.

The camera dates about 1905 to 1908; and over the years I've seen it with various labels from different retail stores. I've never been able to track down the actual builder, but it is likely made by one of the prominent Rochester companies (i.e. Rochester Optical) for the retail markt. At least two examples of this camera with an "Iver Johnson Sporting Goods Co." label have been sold in the past year or two.

Thanks again for the information. I will use the Iver Johnson description as a lead for my future search.
