Recent pick at a yard sale for $5.00. It looks like this was a display/salesmans model because of the wording. It used stensils made of a vinyl that were perferated and the ink wheel pressed ink through the stencil. Like silk screening. I found similar type machines online at an Office machine museum. Nothing like this one in particular though. Best I could determine, it's from the 1920's. It was used for business' that had a mailing list for customers. A stack of stencils were placed in a column on the left side. A slider moved them into place one at a time and with each slide it would move the stencils to the right and restack them. By pulling down on the red handle, it would stamp the envelope and re-ink and rotate the stamping/inking wheel. Interesting and well built machine. Fully functional after a little WD-40. I didn't get any of the stencils and havn't found any yet. Still looking. Anyone have any laying around? They are 1 1/2 X 3 inch. Would be a perforated vinyl of some kind and metel framed..........I think. Have not even found one to know for sure. Any of you collect this type of stuff?
