This is my mother's old baby doll. She got it in the mid to late 50's, from her Aunt that lived in California. I was always told it was antique when she got it. There appear to be no maker marks anywhere on it. I would love to find out more about it! Never been able to find it on the internet.

This doll is not composition it's a rubber type material. Rubber dolls were first made in the 20's but really took off in the 50's

I don't know...I dont think it's rubber. She has cracked open on one of the seams, and it seems it's a thin shell (almost like candy shell) over some other type of material.

she also has some minor crazing over her back

looks like a knock off of a Tiny Tears doll, of that time period. (since it had no markings on the back of its neck
