Hello
I'm not sure whether this is a doll or not and would be grateful if anyone has any ideas about where it is from or when it was made. It feels as though it has been filled with sawdust. I found it many years ago amongst some rubbish in a skip.

Wow I have never seen an "Indian doll" (IE India, not NA) like this before. See the tilaka on the forhead? It's old for sure, and more than likely hand made. It could have been used as a plaything or for religious purposes

Once again this site is not allowing me to post URL's :( google this "Worshiping Dolls on Dussehra in South India" and it will explain.
Thanks for your comments, I'll google the info you suggest.
So weird. Yesterday that first post didn't show up with the URL. I'm glad I didn't try it more than once!
