Hawaiian Pins, Okole Maluna

I found these pins in my grandfather's vast collection (hoard?) of things after he passed. My grandmother does not know where they came from. Her parents were stationed in Hawaii at some point before WWII, and she said they had belonged to a social or community group there (the name escapes me at the moment) that these might be from.
Or perhaps they are not from my great-grandparents, and the 46 and 48 refer to 1946 and 1948?
They are about 2.5" in diameter.
I would love it if someone could solve this mystery for me, as my google sleuthing has come up empty-handed.
