Virtually everything about the very first picture is virtually a dead ringer for the one I remember growing up with. Although the one in the picture may be just a wee bit shorter lengthwise by maybe a few inches or so. And the inside components were more silver than the black in the pictures above. Looking down inside the cabinet, the one I remember had the turntable on the right (not so much different than the one pictured above), the AM/FM receiver to the left of it was silver, longer, and rectangular in shape along the bottom, and situated above it was an 8 track player (recessed, black, side eject well, red program LED's with silver push-buttons situated above and below). And in the picture where the 8 track player is, the area to the left on mine was an empty cavity for storing a nice stack of records. Along the bottom lip of the front between where the doors meet, there was a little tiny pin-hole red plastic piece which acted as a red filter for a light bulb inside to illuminate red when the power was on. In a dark room, it would stand out discreetly if you knew where to look if you didn't know if the unit was on or off without having to open the lid. I believe it may have had castors, and could roll, but it was still ridiculously heavy. If anybody has additional specs on this particular series (mine was probably from the early to mid 70's), I would certainly be interested in learning more about it. But, the first picture absolutely nails it to the T. Anybody who has more info on these, please let me know. I am very curious, and want to learn more about them. I now know for certain that Magnavox definitely made them, but beyond that, I don't know much more at the moment. But, I would most definitely like to. Thanks in advance.
