Nice old chair. I've been meaning to bring it home and get it cleaned up but I haven't had the time. I'm hoping to get it cleaned up sometime next week. Does anybody know what brand or perhaps what kind of chair this is?

under all of that horrible but trendy chalk paint is a beautiful walnut Queen Anne style chair. Someone has obviously tried to reupholster this chair. Hopefully they saved the original brass tacks that decorates it. This chair was from the 1860's. I have one that's partially gilded and it's beautiful. I would suggest using a latex paint remover with a soft rag to wipe off bc the antique chairs were sealed with wax instead of todays varnish. Scratching it will be easy. Value? Mine has original fabric and partially gilded and is worth $225. If it was totally gilded it would be worth as much as $675. Your chair will require some tlc but is a big seller in flea markets. For those who like the painted stuff, you may sell this one as is for about $50 and save yourself the aggrivation of restoring its originality.
