My local neighborhood coffee shop, Farley's, has several glass display cases where they display interesting collections (art, antique and vintage stuff, or just plain weird stuff - this is San Francisco after all).
The way it works is that Roger, the proprietor, invites people he knows to "program" the window cases for a month, starting on the first of the month. He got to know me and I offered to do an antique phone display, shown here. People apparently liked it enough that I got extended for an additional month! (either that or he just couldn't find someone else...)
In case you can't read the handwritten note in the 4th photo, it says, "For more information please contact the Potrero rotary club." :)
