We found this Vintage Huffy Miss America bicycle, along with her counterpart, Mr. America during the summer of 2010. Make a long story short, we purchased these from a former bike shop owner and these were the only two items he kept after the store closed up. Grabbed 'em at a steal! I can not find any information on the Miss America model, which leads me to believe this may be a rare item. It looks like it is in original condition with some minor surface rust (just from age, both have been stored indoors). Miss America sports the retro flower banana seat and handlebar tassels, and the red, white and blue paint scheme. This model does not have gears, just a rear pedal brake. Just a minor scratch on the chain guard. I would say this bike is in great condition. Maybe from the bicentennial year 1976 ? I am looking for some more information about both models and have had no luck to this point. The expertise of the community is greatly appreciated. Thanks! (yes, that is our 1970's Model-T Dr. Pepper go-cart in the background!)

My sister had one of these bikes, it is not a bicentennial bike. It is from 1969 or 1970. The seat you have is not original, the original was an American Flag color banana seat. Everything else is original. It looks like its in great shape.
P.S. Miss America is not for sale as I have her twin brother - Mr. America. Having the set I think is pretty rare and I am still looking for any information on this Classic Huffy Ride - HELP!!!! :)
I ended up here after a google search for Miss America Bicycle. I got one for christmas in 1972 and I've done a few web searches just to see if anyone had one for sale. Mine had a red, white and blue banana seat. I have a picture of it if you would like to see it, all original under the tree on christmas morning. Not sure where or how to post it here though.
