This is a poison bottle that I recently acquired. The bottle is is approximately 4 3/4 " tall, 1 3/4" at the base has ridges on the front of the bottle and smooth everywhere else. The neck is slightly off of vertical and is a clip top.

If anyone can shed any light on the manufacturer, age, etc I'd appreciate it.

      What's the base look like?

It is slightly concaved in the center and has a small flat edge around the outside.

Sounds like a blown-in-mold with snapped-off neck. Last half of the 1800s if no pontil.

It could also have been some sort of condiment, though. An 1890s "French Dressing" bottle I saw was about the same size, although it was square. The panels reminded me of a lot of ketchup's of earlier days.
