This was given to me about 1986 as a gift, the only thing I can mention about it's source was described to me. It was purchased at a Navy Base PX store from a group of American Indian on a tour of the East Coast. The piece is signed on the back with the name Chaco and cost around $200. The inlay is Mother-of-pearl I believe, this does not appear to be plated silver, the total weight is 7.8 oz.
PS / This has not been cleaned for some time.

Wow! Just wow!
Very like the items my employers had in their Native American shop circa 1980 - popular pink MOP with sterling. Don't throw it away - very nice.
