Latest addition to my Mt Rushmore Collection. I live about 2 mile from the monument, so hence the collection. I try to keep it to items made in the sixties and earlier. Up until the early eightie's a lady named Kay Reardon had the gift shop concession at the mountain. She carried all the typical souvinirs, ashtrays ect. But she also had high end collectibles, Ladro, Wedgewood, Lalique. She commisioned many Mt Rushmore items from some of these companies. I have pieces by Red Wing, Johnson Bros, Wedgewood, Buffalo china, and more. This piece is a nut cracker set from the 50's. No makers marks but a fun piece.
