Got this old calligraphy paintbrush washer this weekend; looks to be what some call spinach jade but it is not; it is a serpentine carved stone. Nice older carved item; the antique dealers at the estate auction did not understand why I would bid $5.00 on an old rock ashtray? Mine now!
