    vacuumtube…

    Dear friends,

I am a Mechanical Engineer but keep interest in Electronics. I got one old DC amplifier from a Russian collaborated steel plant in India in 1982. Since then 4 valves are with me, but could not used due to non availability of pin configuration. After retirement (31/12/2009) I spent most of my leisure time in Internet, and recently I came to know the pin configuration from various web site and build a audio amplifier and connected a FM IC controlled board to listen FM radio centers.

AS it is not possible to guessing the sound quality from the photograph so simply you have to believe on my statement. I have never heard any valve radio before. After making the amplifier (11/12/11) I became surprised by hearing the beautifully sound produced by the old (about 55 yrs.) vacuum tubes. It is our bad luck that we are missing the beautiful sound quality of Valve Radio and Amplifier.

      love your valve sockets.
something oddly appealing about valves lighting up.
sort of like a car enthusiast. but different.
