Militarist

Even through there is no Law Enforcement Collectibles category on this site there is a great reference book for badge collectors like myself and for collectors of all the other aspects of this popular collecting field. Sadly this book, published in 1999 by Krause Publications, is out of print but it is still available on the secondary market. One of the best features of this book is the listing of makers and the listing of the various styles of pins found on badges. The book was written by a long time collector so the only real flaw in my opinion, is that the prices were already too low at the time it was published. I will list this in the military category since this book does include military badges.
