Given away by gas stations, insurance companies, banks, civic organizations, funeral homes and the like, these souvenir Christmas carol books were very popular in the 1940s through 1960s. They range from super-religious themes, to the mid-century modern graphics, to old-fashioned pseudo turn-of-the-last-century motifs.
Most contain a variety of carols, but others have fun Christmas trivia and stories, including "The Night Before Christmas".
