I am in the process of going threw my Mother's things. She passed away the end of November. I am coming across so many things. She wasn't a hoarder, but man! I am learning alot. She had many collections. Some really beautiful things. Any way, this carriage has been around ever since I can remember. First at my Grandmother's then after she passed, it came to our house, (garage. As you can see, it was not well taken care of. It is made of whicker, which is so brittle I am afraid to handle it much. The wheels are almost totally rusted. But I beieve it can be saved. I found a Partial name on the underside of the bed. "PA or FA" something it's too obstructed to read, the next line is "riage Co." then a third line is"MASS".
Does anyone know of a carriage maker in Mass. around 1910 through maybe the '20's? If so, please let me know. I can't remember what my Mother said about it when I was a kid, only that I wasn't allowed to play with it!
