This is a really cool old tri-fold portfolio for important documents, with "Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. ~ Not Best Because The Biggest, But Biggest Because The Best" on the front. Approximately 11-1/2"x5-1/2" when folded. Inside has pockets for Life Insurance Policies, Fire Insurance Policies, Accident and Health Contracts, Automobile Insurance, Burglary Insurance, Notes, Mortgages and Deeds. Smells like an old church hymnal! Hand-written notes inside include: "My life policty with Metropolitan," "Birth certificate," "Marriage License," "Papers pertaining to the settlement of my father's estate, planning, sale and distribution of same," "Virginia, Leonard and George's policies that I am investigating," "Papers pertaining to borrowed money and Release of property to cover Chattel mortgage All paid in Full," "302 E. Warden, Hillerman." Sorry to say all the papers had been removed when I purchased at a yard sale. Would love to know the age of this item or any other information!
