Very intimate photo of a WWII Sailor and his sweet-heart. I love this photo, it is so candid, yet every day this occurred. A G.I. and his best Gal, walking to and fro, enjoying what little time they did have. So many unanswered questions they had....And even to this day. Who are they? Did they get married? Did she break his heart? Was he killed in combat??
Having shipped out, and leaving my High School sweat-heart behind, I can relate to this photo. I wish it were larger, it only measure 2.5 inches by 3 inches, but it speaks volumes......
I found this in an auction lot of random WWII era photos.
