MFG: 1957-1962
Made in Mankato, MN
First reel I purchased as a collector, love the craftsmanship they put into it.
Also, I have seen a couple other 100-A reels with different lettering, does it mean anything (maybe a way to date the reels?)

I also like the Johnson reels but don't know how to date them. If anyone knows how to date them or has a website one can use to date the reels, would you please post it here. I have Google searched a number of times for dates but have had no luck. I thank you in advance.........
