I want help to classify this item....and find out anything about the item.... I've never seen another. The ledges on either side make it an ashtray..... the raised bowl on pedestal makes it a 'compote'..... the deep open bowl makes it like an urn. I don't know what to call it. It is made of porcelain with gold decoration. The cameo is repeated on either side and is matte finished. The gold bands are also matte finished. All other finish is gloss glazed, but is dry footed for firing. The mark (not shown) says "Made in England".
