I recently got these from my mother, they used to be my great grandmothers. I have seen another set online that look similar to this but the eyes are open and they almost look fake! The other set has a red crown crest on the bottom and no numbers. My set has numbers B-1125 on the bottom of each and a small blueish sticker that reads japan in gold on the bottom of them. If anyone can tell me if these are indeed collectable please let me know! Also if anyone can find out how old they are let me know. I have looked for information on this set all over the web and i cannot find anything other than a set that looks like its a fake.

If you can answer any of my questions please contact me!!!
I hope to get some feedback from someone! Thank you!! :)

If you would like to see other angles of these please let me know as well. I can photograph the insides, bottom back, or whatever angle needed to help identify them...

These look very much like Howard Holt cats except they have their eyes closed. Holts are always open. Probably from the 1960's. It was very common for Japanesse manufacturers to rip off designer by changing there design a little bit, like the closed eyes.

I don't know weather fake would really apply, maybe "artistic license". Howard Holt Ceramics was produced in Japan also. Most of his stuff was signed. Mostly made in the sixties.
