This very old photograph album is 5 and a half inches long and 4 inches wide. It has 25 pages. There is some kind of gold covering the rims of the pages that are also quite thick. There are photo's in it dating back to the late 1880's. The back of the photo's have " Hugo Broich" Photographer, Opposite Plankinton House, Milwaukee Wis. on them. This book is from the old family Homestead of my Father. There is also a gold latch to open and close the book. It is in amazingly good condition for it's age. Does anyone have any information about this book, or it's worth? I saw one on E-Bay that was similar, and it was going for $395.00. Other than that ,I cannot really find any info on it.

These type of carte de visite (CDV) albums were popular from the Civil War era through the 1890s. Often you will see a mix of early Civil War cards along with later images.
The albums without images (or with mainly post Civil War images) are usually in the $20- $75 range depending on condition.
This past weekend, I sold 4 of these albums (with post CW CDVs) and in similar condition for $50 each.
I would put your album at that same price range.
There may be a hidden treasure in the photographs not shown, so it does have the possibility of bringing more.

It is prior to 1882 , as the photo of the baby in the baptism dress was born in Nov. 1883. The baby's mother had made the intricately sewn and hand stitched baptism dress for her son.
Nice very nice..
