Have lived in the same house for 28 years, over the years I have many unusual bottles--Hires extract , old Listerine bottle, crockery urns used when cattle were once on the property!! The house dates back to 1905, as do most of the homes back here, none any older as far as we know. Strange how people dumped their garbage back here, instead of just wrapping it in paper, which was the procedure for refuse pickup during the early part of the 1900's.
As you can see, the bottle does have threads on it, so it wasn't vacumn sealed. On the bottom of the bottle, the numbers "227-3" are in raised letters , in the center H with the word Ball in script, underscored, and the D. Underneath that is 15A.
Just curious if anyone is familiar w/ this. I put it in the dishwasher today, after rinsing out decades of mud. It's funny, but the dirt has become part of the glass inside, somewhat like it was part of the color of the glass. On the bottom, there's a light blue hint, and the bottom has a bumpy surface.
