I was given this MB Fountain Pen years ago and it has been in my drawer ever since I got it. I don't know much about it except for the fact that it has a gold signature on the cap (see pic) and what looks like a blue saphire on the clip. There is an edition number 01250/17000 on the cap as well. Can anybody help me identify this pen? Whose signature is on the cap? Is it valuable? What is the story?

It's a limited edition in their "writers Series" it was produced in 1997. This was the first and only edition to include a rollerball pen.
