This brass Chinese Gong has etchings of foo dogs playing in the fields of grain. All the etched patterns seem to be unique with none repeating themselves. There is a little stand inside which looks like it could have had a something sitting on it. I guess it is the stand for the hammer. The gong itself stands almost 8" high and is the same across the diameter. I'd like to know more about it and the time period in which it was made.
