Pictured is an original WW II German Infantry Assault Badge in silver, with the cardboard issue box and tissue wrap.The box has a marbled look to it. Criteria for this award specified that the recipient take part in at least three infantry assaults on three different days. With the badge is the award notification certificate which was given to Gefreiten Wilhelm Busch, of the 11th company, infantry regiment 212. The presentation of the badge was on February 25th, 1942. The rubber ink stamp is that of infantry regiment 212. A bronze version of this badge was issued to members of motorized infantry units after June 1st 1940.
