I was riding with a really nice full-face transformer helmet. During the winter it was really nice - but during the Summer here in Arizona, not so much.... Anyway, I had to get a half helmet to keep from totally baking my brain and this is what I came up with... given the Type and age of my Bike (1984 HD) this one just fit the best. I get a lot of thumbs up from other bikers and drivers..... I do plan to get a chrome spike for the top - I figure it ought to be worth a few laughs.
It is Department Of Transportation (DOT) approved. I purchased this for $76 at a retail store. I could have ordered it online, but with shipping it worked out to about the same and I would have had wait time. I found many different varieties and prices. If you plan to get one and ride - be sure to ensure that it is "DOT" approved. May as well be safe if your going to bother wearing a helmet at all - here in AZ it is NOT required.
