Doll made in Italy

I was given this doll by my mom in the mid-50's and would like to know more about her. I believe she was new at that time, she used to have a straw hat. She is about 67 cm (26 1/2 in) tall, with sleep eyes. Arms move at the shoulders, legs at the hips. On the back of her neck it says "Made in Italy" and below that is "Cares". Written on the bottom of her shoes is "Mod. Brev. 9 Milano". Her dress is pale blue, has faded some over the years.
