This was a gift to my mom from my dad. It has been in our family for many years. It is beginning to show signs of wear, but I still think it is a beautiful piece of furniture, plus it's functional. Currently it houses buttons and other sewing items that my mom placed in it—nostalgia has kept these items in their place for now. I don't have the measurements of this piece. What I like about it is that it isn't too heavy to move from room to rom by using the handle and carrying it. If you can help us get an idea as to when this sewing box was made, or any history regarding this piece, we would enjoy knowing more about this.

Wonderful treasure!
I believe it's called a Priscilla sewing box. I have one too. I love it. I think mine may be from the 30's or 40's. Yours looks like it may be a little older than mine. That's about all I know- I'm looking for more info too!
