Does this piece have any monetary or collectible value? All comments are appreciated. If you need me to post a more detailed picture such that necessary aspects and lettering on the piece can be better seen please specify.

What is this exactly (a miner's light I know) and where was it used?

    Thanks!

It's a coal miners carbide lamp. It was used by coal miners (obviously). It has a collectible value but not a lot of monetary value.

I love these old lights. I grew up around a lot of this type of item, and now my mother and sister have ones like this on display. I would love to have at least one if anyone has one to part with, hopefully for a poor man's price!
