We found these glass hanging light shades in the attic of a home we purchased recently. There are 5 cylindrical shades, 2 of which have a metal decorative at the low end, possibly of brass. They measure about 16" in length (without the metal base), 8" in diameter and they install on a 5" base light fixture. There are also 2 globes, about 12" in diameter, for a 4" base light fixture. All shades and globes are painted, depicting a variety of scenes from ancient Asian cultures, probably Chinese, most likely not hand painted, as all repeated scenes appear to be identical to the smallest detail. We looked on lots of websites and couldn't find anything similar. Given their rather large size, we would assume they are for outdoor use, like a patio, or a garden. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
