    i have been trying to figure out what this is for awhile now.almost looks like a piggy bank but you would have to break it to get inside.it stands about 5inches tall. any ideas?

      It's either a razor bank or break-to-open piggy bank. Several US companies produced them circa the late 1800s to 1930s. Lots of interest from stoneware collectors for these, particularly if you can pin it down to a specific manufacturer. If used as coin banks, most were broken at some point to get to the contents. At 5", the size is larger than most, that might help with finding an ID. I assume it's unmarked so glaze color, clay color, shape and size is all you'll have to work with.

      thanks guys i kinda thought i t might be a bank of some sort its cool looking
      but has no marks on it .got any idea of value?
