mosk - a lot of the clues are there - Berreteaga Liqor Est 1865 and Mexico. Not much info out there about them, I looked up wicker-wrapped bottles. All I could find is they made rum, brandy, and something called Habenero & sugar cane liquor (bet thats spicy). I don't think they are in business anymore. Is the bottle empty? Did you take of top and smell, maybe still could figure out type of liquor from the sniff test. Does that sticker on the front say "Texas State Tax Paid". Is there a date on the sticker?
