Came from my husband's childhood home (Early Frost Farm), an early 1800's 3-story farmhouse, (with servants quarters...he had none.) in Buck's County, Pa. Other than that I am in the dark on this one. It is a beautifully heavy. A real man's chair! It's strong and in wonderful condition. Can't tell if they are wolves faces or poodles, so French or no? A barrel chair or hunting chair, maybe made out of walnut. Haven't come across anything like this. Stumped! Like to know the what, when and where...value is to each his or her own. This one's just mine.
