This pipe use to belong to my Grandfather. The only thing I know about it is that it was hand carved in Italy and it's at least 60 years old.

That's an interesting pipe! The face, to my eye, is a half-mask. It will be one of the characters from the Commedia dell'Arte. I have a half mask on CW here:
