I picked these up a while back. They came in a portfolio with many others. Here is a small sampling of the collection. What I have is the original hand-drawn proofs, hand sketched by the artis, as well as a copy of the printed version. Most are US General, and some are for Black & Decker. This is all I know and I am trying to gain more knowledge into what I have and whether they are worth spending money on to get them properly preserved.

This is interesting, because this is what I used to do for a living. These are known as artists 'comps', which are the marker rendering the graphic designer/ illustrator drew to show what the finished ad would look like. It looks like the artist included the finished printed piece along with it. This is his or her portfolio, which they would show prospective art directors their style and experience in designing advertising pieces. I can't tell whether the last page illustrations are original marker renderings or not, but they look like it. These look like they were done around the same time I was also doing comp art- 1970s or 1980s. Great find! I don't think these really have much value, but they are interesting to have.

these are so great! I love seeing the hand-drawn version of that 80s computer font. Fascinating...
